Cuir Ylang, when Elie Saab combines sensuality and softness
Elie Saab is a Lebanese designer who can boast of having dressed the greatest personalities on the planet. Its style is characterized by a clever mix of Eastern culture and the contemporary Western universe. Also, among his favorite materials, leather is an exception. This is why Elie Saab has chosen to transform it into a collection of four fragrances called Leather Bourbon, Leather Patchouli, Leather Ylang and Leather Absolu . Focus on the most tender of them: Ylang Leather.
The choice of leather as a central element of Elie Saab perfumes
If Elie Saab has chosen to place leather at the center of his four perfumes, it is quite simply because it is one of the oldest materials used to dress in human history. Indeed, our most distant ancestors already used skins to protect their bodies and cope with their hostile external environment. A natural product that is both strong and breathable, leather has many qualities, including a sensual scent recognizable among all. This is how he elegantly found himself at the center of a perfume in the company of ylang-ylang.
The elegance of the new Ylang Leather
In order to develop Cuir Ylang and its other perfumed counterparts, Elie Saab collaborated with the talented perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. Cuir Ylang thus combines all the elegance emanating from its extraordinary know-how with the impertinence of the house of Elie Saab. Cuir Ylang contains in particular frankincense, a slightly lemony and spicy product. This one is counterbalanced by the exotic sweetness of the ylang-ylang while the birch brings a woody structure to the whole. Finally, as its name suggests, Cuir Ylang places the scent of leather at the heart of its composition and is thus intended for women and men alike.
