Description

Pink grapefruit concentrate: When Hermès Colognes are transformed into eau de toilette

In order to create a perfume for fans of this wind of roses and citrus fruits, Jean-Claude Ellena composed Concentrate of Pink Grapefruit in 2011. In this Pink Grapefruit Concentrate, the rose is overpowering and the grapefruit juicy and ultra tonic to flourish even better among intense woody depths.

Intense vetiver and grapefruit from Pink Grapefruit Concentrate

By creating Eau de Pamplemousse rose in 2009, Jean-Claude Ellena wanted to honor the tradition of Colognes while using more modern raw materials in their production. So citrus, a great classic of Cologne, goes for Eau de Pamplemousse rose alongside the soft and elegant rose, an originality in the traditional olfactory tables of colognes.

Racy and elegant, dynamic and deep, Eau de Pamplemousse Rose is appreciated as much for its great freshness as for its beautiful depths. In order to give this 2009 juice an even deeper scent dimension, Ellena proposed Concentré de Pamplemousse Rose in 2011.

As with the first concentrate of eau de Cologne created in 2004, Concentré d’Orange Verte, the aim is to offer the water a more intense flavor and a longer hold. It is therefore not a question of transforming the composition of Cologne but of strengthening it in order to create a real eau de toilette. Thus Concentrate of Pink Grapefruit “plays between modernity and refinement with its pink floral note and its grapefruit with still lively and tasty tones” according to its creator, but infuses fragrant notes much stronger than before.

Pink grapefruit concentrate with an ultra-powerful chypre zest

In order to distinguish Pink Grapefruit Water and Pink Grapefruit Concentrate, the bottle of the latter is of course always in the shape of a glass lantern but takes on much darker green colors than Eau de Cologne, which seems logical for a composition which is intended to be intense.

Pink Grapefruit Concentrate of course always opens with notes of ultra-fresh grapefruit but, for this concentrate, the citrus fruit seems almost real as it is so present. The rose, the intense floral heart of the composition, will show itself in a greener light for this concentrate, even revealing itself chypre, thanks to the notable presence of vetiver. Indeed if for Pink Grapefruit Water the vetiver can be guessed, in Pink Grapefruit Concentrate it asserts itself with ardor and nervousness. Finally, oak moss brings a penetrating and additional woody force to this Pink Grapefruit Concentrate which is as invigorating as it is delicate, as racy as it is elegant.

A true fragrance of contrasts, Eau de Pamplemousse rose paved the way for the new Hermès Colognes. With Pink Grapefruit Concentrate, Ellena persists and signs by offering new and overpowering accords between grapefruit, rose and wood that cannot leave men and women unmoved.
