Since its release in 2012, l’Ambre des Merveilles d’Hermès has become an emblematic fragrance for the brand. However, just a few weeks ago, the brand told us that its collection would soon grow. Hermès is currently presenting a brand new olfactory opus called Eau des Merveilles Bleue . This perfume, developed by Christine Nagel, plunges us into her childhood memories, not far from the sea. At the same time, it also retains its dreamlike side. So let’s see how Hermès chose to compile all of this for us through the design of its new perfume.

Hermès and its often minimalist designs

The house of Hermès is generally characterized by fairly sober designs in terms of perfume. Indeed, if some luxury brands tend to be embellished, this is by no means the ambition of the Hermès brand. This one prefers by far to go to the essentials and has very few different bottles. The most famous of them is inspired by a carriage lantern. It has a slender and refined shape, enhanced with a matte metallic cap. The brand’s other large bottle is that of the iconic Terre d’Hermès. A link between heaven and earth, this one is placed on an orange H. In fact, Hermès has chosen to use the first letter of its name as a support for one of its greatest perfumes. What is more, it forms a solid glass base and allows this juice to give off an impression of strength and solidity. However,

The aesthetic poetry of Eau des Merveilles Bleue

For once, Hermès has chosen to deliver a bottle with an absolutely fascinating visual. As if in perfect harmony with the fragrance it contains, Eau des Merveilles Bleue is designed like a pebble. Indeed, this case contains a very maritime scent. It is therefore totally appropriate to deliver it to us in a container that appears to have been polished by the waves. Its rounded body also makes it easier to grip and plays with light to reveal a bluish shade. No one can then say whether it belongs more to the sea or to the sky. Indeed, its visual is dotted with a constellation of spangled stars. A darker bluish ring encloses this container while the whole is surmounted by a silver cabochon. This gives this perfume more modernity. Finally, last detail which is important, the whole displayed a permanent instability. The Eau des Merveilles Bleue rests on a base similar to that of a tumbler. Thus, the Blue Water of Wonders never arises vertically. This marks all its originality, giving rise to both questions and fascination in the eyes of consumers.
